INTERMEDIATE HANDGUN
In the Intermediate Class
we begin to cash-in on the benefits inherent in the
Turnipseed Basic Stance. This class emphasizes "body indexing" and stopping a threat in low light. If
you are ever attacked, the odds are much better than 50% that it will be in the
dark or semi-dark. The last part of the class is rapid-fire in the dark.
We will do "night" shooting in daylight. This is "real." This is realistic application.
It can save your life. Very functional. If you can see a silhouette, you can
center punch it! Without sights!
Hitting your target when it is too dark to see your sights depends on body indexing, the natural constants of the human body and muscle memory, all of which will be practiced and elaborated upon in daylight. This is a crucial and necessary step toward the attainment of advanced skills that no other shooting method can offer.
No special physical attributes are required for this class. If you can walk
down the sidewalk, if you can walk up and down stairs, you can learn the Turnipseed
Technique. The utilization of proper body mechanics will enable you to harness
the full capabilities of your physical body.
By the end of the class you will be drawing from "leather," performing accurate rapid-fire in the dark, and completing efficient magazine exchanges when it is too dark to use your vision to guide the manipulation of your magazines. You will be formidable.
